Bonfire Night is back with a bang! After a two year hiatus, the quirky British tradition of Guy Fawkes Night is alive and well, bringing communities together all over the county. So, whether it’s a big pile of fire or a snazzy fireworks display, take a look at what’s happening nearby.
Perhaps the most popular of Oxford’s fireworks events are the festivities at South Park. There will be whole festive village complete with fun fair and fully licensed bar. As always, the spectacular bonfire will be constructed by Oxford Round Table members and volunteers.
The Plough - Wolvercote
The Plough in picturesque Wolvercote will be holding a free fireworks event for the community. There will be autumnal goodies including mulled wine, chocolate apples and roasted marshmallows. Perfect!
Enjoy fireworks reflected in the wonderful Lakes of Witney. Lots of opportunities for reflection shots to post on socials, plus BBQ and bar.
Supersize your Bonfire Night with Abingdon’s quarter mile wide fireworks display (choreographed to music no less) and mega bonfire. It's the UK's biggest public fireworks display! There will also be a mega fun fair.
It’s not just Guy Fawkes Night that gets the fireworks treatment this time of year. The Tree Hotel in Iffley will be holding a ‘Festival of Lights’ on November 6th to celebrate Diwali. Expect delicious Indian food and fireworks!
